PM Brown steps in to help fallen hero
Wednesday February 03 2010
Gordon Brown rushes to the aid of a disabled soldier who took a tumble on the steps of Downing Street yesterday.
With a little help from rugby star Lawrence Dallaglio, the British PM helped Private Derek Derenalagi back on to his prosthetic legs during a photocall for a charity rugby match.
Pte Derenalagi, 33, lost his legs when his Land Rover was blown up in Afghanistan in July 2007.
The Fijian-born soldier fell heavily as he exited the front door of Number 10, but was unhurt.
