Nash to be kept Busy in Blazers

The big jump race on the Friday card at Galway is the Galway Blazers and it could pay to follow course form in tomorrows renewal with the James Nash-trained Your Busy.

A two-time course and distance winner in the past, Your Busy has also been placed around here and clearly has a real liking for Galway which is never a bad thing for a horse here.

He has plenty of experience and David Casey gets on great with him. My only real concern is that I hope he doesn't have too much weight but the yard is in great form and I think he'll put it up to them.

Tomorrow's first race is a handicap hurdle that I won a couple of years ago on a local horse for John Monroe called Muzak but I won't have the same opportunity this year, as for some reason, it is no longer an amateur race.

To be fair, I think it was just an oversight to not make it an amateur race and I think the plan is already to revert it back to what it was - hopefully so, as it was a great opportunity for us.

My idea of the winner of this year's renewal is the John McConnell-trained Orligo Bay who is a real consistent horse and after being third in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham back in March, this will be a nice pot for him to win.

A drop of rain would probably suit him perfectly and if he stayed around Cheltenham to be third he will have no problem with Galway and his allowance for being a four-year-old will be a big addition to him so hopefully he'll show Galway what a good horse he is.

PICK

There is €100,000 up for grabs in the Guinness Handicap over a mile and a half on the flat and I'd like to see Strandfield Lady win this for Harry Rogers.

The nine-year-old has been a fantastic servant for her connections and I think last weeks win at Leopardstown was her 13th win in her career which is fantastic achievement for a filly. She'll have it all to do to beat Andy Oliver's Panama Hat who has won four on the bounce but may well be under the thumb of the handicapper now after going up 36lbs.
