The Women’s Mini Marathon Limited is delighted to announce MyCharity.ie as the fundraising partner for the next three years.

To celebrate, MyCharity.ie is giving all participants who enter the Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon the chance to win a €1,000 donation for their chosen charity. All participants have to do is create a fundraising page with MyCharity.ie to be put in the draw.

Women who participate in the mini marathon play an important role in raising funds for their chosen charity each year. For some of the smaller charities it is their biggest fundraising day of the year.

The money raised is a testament to the women who enter and their efforts and dedication in making each year more successful than the last for charities. But most of all it’s important to remember that it is always a fun day out with a great atmosphere when more than 40,000 women come together to achieve their goals and in the process raise money for their chosen charity.

The Vhi Women’s Mini Marathon is the biggest all-women’s event of its kind in the world. This year’s run will take place on the June 1 bank holiday.

It has grown from its beginnings in 1983 with almost 9,000 participants to a staggering 41,006 women participating last year.

Since 1983, nearly 921,000 women have entered the event and it has grown as women’s interest in their own health and vitality has developed over the last three decades.
