LEINSTER ‘A coach Colin McEntee got the "spicy" draw when paired at home to Munster A in the British & Irish Cup semi-final, scheduled for the weekend of April 6/7/8.

“It is great for the competition,” said McEntee. “Playing Munster, for us, will add a bit of spice. It will probably generate the interest we are looking for in Ireland.

“There is no easy draw. But, the benefit is that it is at home.

“We know the Munster lads well and they know us well. Whoever wins our semi-final will have the honour of hosting the final in Ireland for the first time in the competition’s third year.”

The likelihood is that Donnybrook will be the venue for the semi-final.

The match could take place on Good Friday or even Easter Monday, given that Leinster’s Heineken Cup quarter-final is on the Saturday; Munster’s on the Sunday.

The winners will host either Wales club Cross Keys or the inaugural 2010 champions Cornish Pirates, who play in the Championship in England.
