Judd Trump and John Higgins found themselves knocked out of the Indian Open, with Mark Williams and Mark Davis grateful third-round beneficiaries in Mumbai.

Crowds at the ballroom of the Grand Hyatt hotel were first treated to a see-saw 4-3 win for Williams in the opening fixture of the day, before Davis shocked Higgins with a 4-0 victory.

Williams then eased his way into the semi-finals with a 4-1 win over Robert Milkins in another Wales-England clash, though Davis' run came to an end later as Thailand's Thepchaiya Un-Nooh beat him 4-2.

Un-Nooh said: "I'm very happy. Tonight's match was really tough because Mark is a very strong safety player. I just had to fight. "
