Ireland U17 ready to do battle with best sides in Europe after being handed tough draw
IRELAND'S U17 side are ready to battle with the best sides in Europe after the draw for the European Championship finals handed Tom Mohan's outfit the toughest draws possible.
Having qualified for the finals which will be held in Bulgaria next month, the Irtish boys will have to come out of a group containing current U17 champions England, Italy and Holland.
"There's no doubting that this is going to be a very tough group but we knew when we qualified that we'd be mixing with top quality teams no matter who you are in with," said Mohan.
"England beat Holland in the final last year so they are naturally going to be top class opposition. Italy always excellent at underage level so of course we expect all of our games to be tough. Our players have done brilliantly for us this year and I am confident that they can prove ourselves against the best."
