Toronado clash with Kingman fascinating
LOOKING ahead to Goodwood and the Sussex Stakes and only nine horses remain at the latest forfeit stage but it will be fascinating to see Kingman take on Toronado.
It's a big week for John Gosden with the King George tomorrow and then Kingman next week and it will be hard to see the Irish 2,000 Guineas winner overturned again as he showed such an impressive turn of foot at Royal Ascot when winning the St James's Palace Stakes.
Toronado (pictured, right) is no slouch and himself was very good when winning the Queen Anne but does get an 8lbs allowance for being a three-year-old and that could prove a big advantage.
We also have Galway next week and I enjoyed some very good days at Ballybrit in my association with Dermot Weld. Dermot simply loves it there and I won on some good horses, Go And Go being one, and we saw him win with Mustajeeb last year.
You can be sure we are in for more of the same this coming week.
