On just her second start of the season Hint Of A Tint landed her second major handicap when taking the Tote Irish Cambridgeshire yesterday.

The David Wachman-trained five-year-old won the Topaz Mile at Galway last month and yesterday picked up the winning cheque of €60,000 for landing the Cambridgeshire in good style under double-winning jockey Fran Berry.

Having not raced since October when her form was beginning to go in the wrong direction, Wachman did a fine job to rejuvenate the Sue-Ann Foley-owned filly for Galway and she was a comfortable length and three-parts ahead of race favourite Portage.

Berry had earlier landed the Group Three Dance Design Stakes on Jessica Harrington’s Bocca Baciata who bounced back to winning ways after running in the best of company but no firm long term plans have been made for the three-year-old who wants ground with an ease in it.

Jim Bolger didn’t rule out the Middle Park Stakes next month for Smash Williams who followed up last week’s debut win at the Curragh by landing the Group Three Round Tower Stakes yesterday.

Meanwhile, at Cork yesterday an unfortunate incident prior to the first race, where Davy Russell took a fall from his intended mount Meadowlands, has left the former champion with a broken arm and a spell on the sidelines.
