Ballet Shoes can dance to a winning beat for O'Brien in Tipp

Aidan O'Brien's Ballet Shoes is picked to give the champion trainer a second successive win in the Coolmore Ivawood Stakes at Tipperary this evening.

An interesting race, the extended seven-furlong Listed contest features the hat-trick-seeking Lethal Steps and Gordon Elliott's highly touted juvenile winner Monkeylou but Ballet Shoes notched up a Curragh win four weeks after a nice debut at Naas and can be expected to move forward from that to land this valuable prize.

While Ger Lyons and Colin Keane can be expected to go close in that race with Lethal Steps, they should win the nursery with top weight Treasuring.

Just 4lbs separate the top two runners but the other three are all racing out of the handicap so it looks between Treasuring and Dermot Weld's India Rain.

Weld's team showed a spark of revival on Tuesday evening but Treasuring has the pick of the form here and despite being a long shot, she didn't run too badly in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot and should take all the beating on this occasion.

Others of note on the eight-race card are Eoin Doyle's New Story in the opening claimer and Crown Leah, who should go one better in the maiden.

Tipperary today

4.45 New Story

5.20 Crown Leah

5.50 Treasuring

6.25 Magic Bear

6.55 Ballet Shoes

7.25 Gold Struck

7.55 Captain Midnight

8.30 Wood Breizh
