Wexford to hold the edge over Breffni
WEXFORD v CAVAN (Wexford Park, Tomorrow, 2.30)
SEÁNIE JOHNSTON is no more for Cavan but on the basis of his performances last year, he won't be much of a loss. Wexford weren't in great form last week in losing to Laois in the O'Byrne Shield final but should have enough at home.
ODDS: Wexford 1/2, Draw 15/2, Cavan 2/1
VERDICT: Wexford
ANTRIM v SLIGO
(Casement Park, Today, 7.0)
SLIGO are the perennial 'yoyo' team, travelling from Division 4 to Division 2 in immediate succession and then back to Division 3. They should find the air easier to breath amongst similar standard teams but Casement Park is no easy opening day journey.
ODDS: Antrim EVS, Draw 13/2, Sligo 11/10
VERDICT: Antrim
LONGFORD v OFFALY
(Pearse Park, Tomorrow, 2.30)
KILMACUD CROKES man, Brian Hanamy, makes his debut for Offaly in a week when Niall McNammee confirmation he is to return to training and could be on the bench. Longford are dark horses this year, though.
ODDS: Longford 4/6, Draw 7/1, Offaly 8/5
VERDICT: Longford
ROSCOMMON v TIPPERARY
(Kiltoom, Tomorrow, 2.30)
HOW Roscommon's players react to that hiding from Tyrone last year and losing their manager will dictate whether they challenge for promotion or not.
ODDS: Roscommon 21/20, Draw 13/2, Tipperary 21/20 VERDICT: Roscommon
