Treacy to the fore as Cuala pip St Brigid's

Cuala enjoyed their first league win of the year when narrowly defeating St Brigid's by 2-14 to 1-16 in their Dublin AHL1 encounter in Bray yesterday morning.

Seán Treacy was in excellent form for the winners, scoring his side's opening goal while Colm Cronin added a pivotal second goal for the hosts in the second-half.

Defensively, both Oisín Gough and Simon Timlin impressed for the winners with Shane Stapleton, Cian Waldron and Treacy landing crucial points for the winners.

Elsewhere, Naomh Fionnbarra eked out a narrow 0-14 to 0-13 win over St Pat's with pairings of O'Toole's/Kilmacud Crokes and Ballinteer St John's/Lucan Sarsfields sharing the spoils.

In AHL2, Na Fianna, Crumlin and Castleknock lead the way after their wins over Faughs, Raheny and Parnells respectively.
