OFFALY were battered by a late Roscommon charge but withstood the barrage to claim the points on a 2-14 to 2-13 scoreline in Tullamore yesterday.

The Faithful men were coasting at 2-14 to 1-9 with less than 10 minutes to go and seemed home and dry. However, a Cathal Cregg goal gave the visitors hope and they missed a chance to earn a point when James Connaughton was wide from 14 yards with the final kick.

LOUTH put more pressure on under-fire Cavan boss Tommy Carr in Drogheda.

Carr admitted the hosts deserved to win, but he was left to rue a string of early missed goal chances in an error-ridden contest that Louth took 1-13 to 1-6.

Fermanagh were no match for Antrim at Casement Park as the home side kept up their promotion push with a 0-16 to 0-8 win to see them top Division 3.

The visitors suffered a shock straight red card when target man Ryan Carson was dismissed on the stroke of half-time.

Wexford thrashed Sligo 3-7 to 1-6 at Wexford Park -- Ciaran Lyng, Dáithí Waters and Ben Brosnan got the Wexford goals.
