Plunkett's defeat Davis

féile peil na nóG DIVISION 4 FINAL

St OLIVER Plunkett's/Eoghan Ruadh took the chances that came their way when overcoming a talented Thomas Davis by 3-4 to 1-3 in their Dublin Féile Peil na nÓg Division 4 final at Blakestown Road last Sunday lunchtime.

It proved a story of missed chances for the Kiltipper Road outfit who enjoyed a fair degree of possession throughout the game with twins Jamie and Liam McDonnell excelling throughout.

David Nugent was another player to shine in what was an impressive team display and they were further buoyed as Conor Guilfoyle netted in the final.

However, the loss of the inspirational Fionn Murray through a broken collarbone in the group stages on Saturday began to take its toll on Thomas Davis with Plunkett's finishing in the ascendancy through the talented efforts of Brian Bergin, Cian Connell, Rory Howe and Ben McSweeney.
