O'Connor and Vaughan start for Mayo

MAYO have made two changes for their All-Ireland quarter-final duel with Donegal this Sunday, writes Frank Roche.

Centre-back Donal Vaughan (hamstring) and forward ace Cillian O'Connor (shoulder) both appeared as subs against London after shaking off recent injuries, with O'Connor firing a 3-3 salvo.

Both will now start, with Chris Barrett and Darren Coen returning to the bench and Keith Higgins reverting to corner-back.

Manager James Horan may yet switch Higgins to a nominal wing-forward role, recalling Barrett as a seventh defender.

Fit-again midfielder Barry Moran is named among the subs.

MAYO (SF v Donegal): R Hennelly; T Cunniffe, G Cafferkey, K Higgins; L Keegan, D Vaughan, C Boyle; A O'Shea, S O'Shea; K McLoughlin, R Feeney, A Dillon; C O'Connor, A Freeman, A Moran.
