DAVID MORAN'S Aussie Rules dream is over - well for the immediate future at any rate - as he has not been recruited by AFL club St Kilda.

The Melbourne based club, who have already signed Kerry star Tommy Walsh on a two-year international rookie contract, have finalised their list and Moran's name does not feature.

The Kerins O'Rahilly's man has been on a three-week trial with the club and underwent endurance testing on Monday in the hope of securing a professional contract.

Speaking before the final testing St Kilda general manager of football and list management Matthew Drain said the club had been happy with the Kerry man's efforts and denied that they had found him to have any 'body language' or weight problems, something which had been claimed by his agent Ricky Nixon.

"We've been really impressed with him so far. To go from amateur sport to training professionally every day ... he's put in a big effort and we've been happy with his standard. His endurance is good and his skills have been good overall," Drain said.

Kerins O'Rahilly's are in the Munster Club SFC final against Clare's Kilmurry Ibrickane this Sunday and Moran could yet be back to play the provincial decider.

Meanwhile, it looks like Mayo's Aidan O'Shea will not play Aussie Rules in the 2010 season either. Despite having trialled with Melbourne based club the Western Bulldogs it's been reported that the club have not added him to their list for the coming season.

However the 19-year-old is still training with the club and is staying with one of the team's stars, Will Minson, so could be a prospect for 2011.

O'Shea had assured Mayo manager John O'Mahony before he left that he would be available for his squad next year.
