McHugh and Quinn strike early to help Na Fianna overcome brave St Sylvester's

DUBLIN AFL 1&2 ROUND-UP

Na Fianna's ambitions of a Top 4 spot remain alive as they withstood a second-half comeback from St Sylvester's to prevail by 2-10 to 0-14 in their Dublin Adult Football League Division 1 encounter at St Mobhi Road last Saturday teatime.

The lively Conor McHugh and Paddy Quinn netted to hand the hosts a 2-5 to 0-4 interval lead and despite Syls improving after the break, the hosts managed to secure the precious points with John Kelly, Carl O'Connor and Jack Caffrey highly influential.

At Silver Park, Andrew Kerin struck a superb hat-trick as Ballyboden St Enda's got the better of Kilmacud Crokes by 3-9 to 1-13.

Boden enjoyed a six point interval lead with Michael Darragh Macauley and Conal Keaney sharing four points and although Crokes improved upon the restart, Kerin's third goal proved pivotal by the final whistle.
