Lucan aim to edge out O'Toole's

DUBLIN SHC QUARTER-FINAL

O'TOOLE'S v LUCAN SARSFIELDS

(Parnell Park, Tonight, 6.45)

THE Larriers are unbeaten. A draw with St Brigid's and wins over Faughs and Na Fianna.

Joey Morris keeps the show on the road. Two shows. He's also the O'Toole's football manager.

The squad contains many dual players. Dublin captain, Johnny McCaffrey, is a central figure for Lucan.

Last week, he helped the Lucan footballers progress into the senior championship quarter-final. His brother, Matt, was also playing.

Matt excelled in the group victory against Crumlin out in Rathcoole. Lucan drew their two other pool games against Ballinteer and St Jude's.

They reached their first final last October. They have class acts in Peter Kelly, Chris Crummey and Emmet O Conghaile.

O'Toole's possess the celebrated Cartons. The Morris brothers are also pivotal. The tussle has intrigue written all over it.

VERDICT: Lucan Sarsfields

Crokes ready to push on

DUBLIN SHC QUARTER-FINAL KILMACUD CROKES v ST VINCENT'S

(Parnell Park, Tonight, 8.15)

CROKES have won three from three, defeating Plunkett's/ER, St Patrick's (P) and Ballyboden.

Ollie Baker likes the Stillorgan scenery. Pairc de Burca welcomed the Dublin SHC title for the first time in a quarter-of-a-century in 2012.

Gearoid O Riain was in the cockpit. This month, the Sevens title was won for the first time.

The Vincent's attack was buzzing against Parnell's in their final Group tie. Diarmuid Connolly and Alan Moore were as sharp as a tack.

It was the first win for Vincent's, who drew with Craobh and lost to Cuala. They have prime assets in John Hetherton, Ciaran Harney, Ruairi Trainor, Cian McBride and a man who can still hit the Euro Millions jackpot, Mossy McGrane.

Crokes fell to Boden in last season's quarter-final. They have artists in Rory O'Carroll, Bill O'Carroll, Jack Doughan, Dillon Mulligan, Oisin O'Rorke, Ryan O'Dwyer and Sean McGrath.

VERDICT: Kilmacud Crokes
