Laois look pick of the 2A bunch
A SCAN down through the list of teams bobbling around Round 2A of the qualifiers and you'd probably arrive at the conclusion that Laois are the pick of them.
They had hairy, scary moments against Fermanagh but if Donie Kingston, in particular, maintains that sort of form, they could squeeze their way to August.
Hard to know how last week will affect Wexford. They surely didn't expect to win so thus, should be well prepared for defeat.
ODDS: Wexford 7/4, Draw 15/2, Laois 4/7
TIPPERARY v LONGFORD
(Thurles, Today 4.45)
ONLY a slight increase in composure or poise last Saturday would have made Tipperary, rather than Longford, the weekend's great giant-killers.
It wasn't that they missed a chance to beat Cork in Páirc Uí Rinn. They actually threw the game away.
Which is why they should be vulnerable here. Longford were ballsy and confident in Celtic Park and in these times of scrappy qualifiers, that can often be enough.
ODDS: Tipperary 10/11, Draw 15/2, Longford 11/10
WICKLOW v SLIGO
(Aughrim, Today, 5.0)
NO surprise that it was Seánie Furlong and Leighton Glynn who did the business for Wicklow against Offaly last time out.
They were the two taking it to Laois until Glynn went off injured in the Leinster 1st round. At home, Wicklow won't have much to fear.
And less again should David Kelly and Adrian Marren not play due the injuries Sligo's inside duo picked up in the two weeks since losing to Galway.
ODDS: Wicklow 5/6, Draw 15/2, Sligo 6/5
LIMERICK v ANTRIM
(Gaelic Grounds, Today, 2.0)
LIMERICK had their rough moments against London a week ago but home comforts can't be overstated in the back door.
Antrim started well but faded tragically to Donegal and don't have a good record at this stage.
ODDS: Limerick EVS, Draw 15/2, Antrim EVS
ALL-IRELAND SFC QUALIFIERS RD 2A
WEXFORD v LAOIS
(Wexford Park, Tomorrow, 2.0)
