Kilmacud 7s entries the No 1 priority

All-Ireland Football 7s time is almost upon us once again and the football pitches in Stillorgan, Co Dublin are being prepared and readied for the 41st FBD Kilmacud Football 7s which takes place on Saturday, August 21 at Kilmacud Crokes GAA Club.

The event is sponsored once again by FBD Insurance and will feature 48 teams assembled from the four corners of Ireland and beyond.

The hunt for the coveted winners' medals will be led by last year's champions, St Gall's from Belfast, who will be among the favourites once again in 2013.

The winners' roll of honour has been dominated by teams from Ulster over the last number of years and this summer the Kilmacud lads are hoping for another open and highly competitive day's football.

Invitations to enter this year's competition are about to be issued and the entry list is expected to fill up pretty quickly.

If there are any clubs interested in participating, enquiries should be directed to Sean Fox by email at sean.fox@fbd.ie or by phone at 087-7749000. Alternatively, you can contact Francis Ferris, Team Entry Secretary, c/o Kilmacud Crokes, Glenabyn, Stillorgan, Co Dublin.

Ballyboden St Enda's are hosting their annual golf fundraiser at Edmondstown Golf Club on Friday, September 6, 2013.

This golf outing together with the club lotto is a vital fundraising event for the club with so many teams competing across all grades.

With 35 teams already confirmed, St Enda's are seeking tee and green sponsors with all the money raised going towards the development of players in football, hurling and camogie.

A social evening, featuring music, entertainment and All-Ireland tickets up for grabs, will take place later that day in the club.

What better way to start your All-Ireland Hurling Final weekend.
