Kellett saves Brigid's
dublin shc 'A': round-up
A goal from Kieran Kellett and a subsequent point by Aodhán McEnerney helped St Brigid's salvage a 1-14 to 0-17 draw against O'Toole's in their Dublin Senior A Hurling Championship Group 1 clash at Parnell Park last night.
The Larriers, who led by 0-9 to 0-7 at the break, looked to be heading for an opening win as Clare imports Gerry Arthur and Niall Arthur inched O'Toole's four points clear entering injury time, as they shared eleven points over the hour.
However, St Brigid's, who were indebted to nine points from frees by Paul Winters, remained in the hunt through a brace of points by Pat Rohan and John O'Loughlin with Kellett's goal pre-empting McEnerney's dramatic late intervention.
Across the city in O'Toole Park, 2013 winners Ballyboden St Enda's served early notice of their ambitions when comfortably accounting for Crumlin by 4-23 to 1-14.
Most of the damage was done in the first-half as Boden raced into a 1-18 to 0-7 lead with Conal Keaney's goal propelling them to a 1-18 to 0-7 interval lead.
Crumlin improved after the break through Adam McGreal and Alex Quinn but their fate was sealed through the concession of further goals by Paul Ryan, Keaney and Conor McCormack.
