Joy for Jude's

ST JUDE'S cemented their mid-table position in the Dublin AFL1 table when overcoming St Brigid's by 1-10 to 1-7 at Tymon Park.

The hosts impressed defensively with Oisín Manning and Robert Finnegan to the fore while Ronan Joyce and Diarmuid McLoughlin were the pick of the home attack.

Barry Cahill and Cian Mullins impressed for the visitors, who had Kevin Bonner sent off.

At Dolphin Park, St Maur's registered a morale-boosting win over fellow strugglers Templeogue Synge Street with goals from Chris Carthy and Alan Byrne sealing a vital 2-17 to 0-18 victory.
