Have-a-go blitz proves to be roaring success

RUSSELL Park was the venue as An Cumann Camógaíochta and Dublin Second Level Schools Camogie Committee hosted their 'Come and Try It' initiative for various schools across the county last week.

The aim was to provide Dublin second level schools with a day that was as much about fun and taking part as it was about winning.

The blitz was offered to those who are currently not participating in any camogie competitions and catered for both first and second-year students.

It proved a fantastic success and the 77 players who took part saw plenty of action in which they showcased their talents.

Hopefully, this will be the start of a new dawn for these schools and representation in Dublin, provincial competitions and around the country will continue to grow.
