Gilroy set to conduct GAA Legends Tour

PAT GILROY will be conducting the Bord Gáis Energy Legends Croke Park Tour on August 22 (7.0).

Also on tour will be – next Saturday (2.0): Tommy Dunne. August 17 (2.0): Seánie McMahon. August 31 (12.0): Steven McDonnell.

Early booking advisable. There are also match-day tours. The museum is also open on match days, while the Etihad Skyline Tour is another popular option.

p IT will be a weekend to remember at St Mark's. They are going to celebrate The Gathering in style.

This Friday, the club are holding a mass (8.0) followed by a Traditional Irish Night. Then on Saturday, there will be a Fun Day plus music by Tickle Your Fancy. "All past and present members are very welcome," says Maura Quinn.

* THE Friends of Dublin Hurling are supporting the four-week coaching programme at Alife Byrne Park, Clontarf that caters for elite hurlers in the 14-to-16 age group. The event is co-ordinated by Dublin County Board hurling development officer, Colm Burtchaell, and the coaches include Liam Rushe, Eamon Dillon, Finn McGarry, Martin Quilty and Seán McGrath.

* THE Tomas Mulligan Memorial Cycle to Kilkenny, in aid of Pieta House, will start this Saturday at Good Counsel (9.0am) and will return to Good Counsel on the following day.
