FORTUNE FAVOURS A VICTORY

Dublin manager Joe Fortune is confident that his side are in great shape ahead of the county's Bord Gais Energy Leinster U21 Hurling Championship quarter-final against Kilkenny in Parnell Park this evening (7.30).

The Dubs may be without key attacker Caolan Conway but Fortune is happy with how preparations have gone ahead of the mouth-watering fixture in Donnycarney tonight.

"You couldn't question the application or attitude of all the lads since we began training and no stone has been left unturned. I really doubt that the lads could be better prepared for the game but with no back-door or second chance, it's all about getting it right on the night," said Fortune.

Naturally, Dublin won't have it easy against a formidable opponent like Kilkenny and the Wexford native appreciates that his side will need to operate at full tilt if they're to advance to a last four meeting with Carlow.

"A good start will be crucial for us but to be honest, we'll need to go at 100 per cent for the 65 minutes or so against what is a serious team like Kilkenny," he added.
