Ballyboden St Enda's claimed their third win from three when defeating Craobh Chiaráin by five points in their Dublin Senior 'A' Hurling Championship Group 2 clash at Parnell Park last night.

Paul Ryan produced another classy performance as he hit 11 points in total, with seven of those coming from play, before his early replacement.

With both teams already assured quarter-final spots after winning their opening two games, there was a fair degree of intensity to the early exchanges with Craobh inching two points clear following scores by Robbie Mahon and Francis Usanga.

However, the momentum swung back in Boden's favour thanks to three frees from Ryan and a goal followed in the 12th minute as Conal Keaney flicked past Stephen Chester following fine approach play by Ryan and Simon Lambert.

Ryan was in sublime form for St Enda's and he struck three points from play in quick succession as the Chiaráin's defence struggled to deal with his movement and intricate stickwork.

The game seemed to be drifting away from the Donnycarney outfit but Paul Kelly inspired his team with three glorious points as the contest became more even. However, Ryan added three more points from play before the interval with further scores by Keaney, James Madden and Eoghan O'Neill pushing Ballyboden six points (1-13 to 0-10) clear by the turnaround.

The second-half resumed with Mahon and Ryan trading frees before Ballyboden's impact from the bench was reflected in almost instantaneous scores from James Roche and David O'Connor.

Paul Doherty managed to make a similar impact upon his introduction but Craobh had an inspired substitution of their own at the end of the third quarter as Damien O'Reilly netted from close range past the out-rushing Conor Dooley in the 48th minute with the St Enda's defence marked absent.
