Cian O'Sullivan: 'Kerry are better than last year and are favourites for Sam'

CIAN O'Sullivan believes Kerry are an upgrade from last year's All-Ireland winning team and pronounced the Kingdom as favourites for this year's Sam Maguire after their awesome display against Kildare last Sunday.

"It was extremely impressive," O'Sullivan admitted.

"They completely annihilated Kildare. They look like a force to be reckoned with. Some of their goals were extremely impressive.

"They definitely showed why they have that favourites tag."

Dublin remain favourites with all bookies, only marginally so, after Kerry's 27-point win over the Lilies.

"Going on that performance, it's going to take a very, very strong performance to beat Kerry," O'Sullivan stated.

"You look at their team, their starting 15 and then who they have coming on off the bench, it's a very impressive outfit.

"Offensively, they have the Gooch back and Darran O'Sullivan seems to be coming back into a bit of form. They have the option of Donaghy coming in or starting, so there's frightening talent there."
