Brigid's can advance to the last eight

PREVIEW: dUBLIN SFC ROUND 2

ST BRIGID'S v SKERRIES HARPS

(Chanel, Today 5.30)

HARPS beat UCD. That's never an easy May exam.

Brigid's overcame Clontarf. They had to work for their supper.

Late points from Cian Mullins, Philly Ryan and Mark Cahill took them home. Brigid's, the 2011 champs, won by five in the end.

This year the very highly-rated Tony McEntee wear's the bainisteoir's bib - the Crossmaglen legend will have his men very focused and they could cause a shock or two this campaign.

Early goals from Harry Dawson and Paul Cashman proved telling for Harps against the students. So did the contributions of Mark Boylan and Bryan Cullen.

However, Brigid's should have too much big game experience for the seasiders.

VERDICT: St Brigid's

Boden to win battle of Saints

BALLYBODEN ST END'AS v BALLINTEER ST JOHN'S

(O'Toole Park, Today 5.30)

BALLINTEER were sprinting in the first half against O'Toole's in O'Toole's Park. No bother to David Gillick.

They had three goals in the sack before the break. Nicky Devereux, Paul Cronin and Aodhán Clabby got them - what they'd give for the same again.

Boden toppled Trinity Gaels. Michael Darragh Macauley was putting in the miles at Finglas. He finished with 2-2.

Dara Nelson, Kenny Naughton, Ronan Cleary and Andrew Kerin also donated to Boden's handsome collection and they can advance to quarter-finals.

VERDICT: Ballyboden St Enda's
