Mick Bohan would never get a job with Dublin Bus. He wouldn't know how to park a double-decker!

With club and county, his style was always about letting the traffic flow.

He sat with Jim Gavin in Dublin cockpits, and he's been down this road before.

He had a fine spell on the management crew of Willie Lillis as Dublin won Leinster for the first time.

And then he was a breath away from leading the Dubs to their first All-Ireland title. Now he will plan to guide Dublin to their second All-Ireland crown. The highly respected Ken Robinson has come on board.

Bohan's Blues will play the New Ireland Assurance Dub Stars at DCU on Sunday, January 8 (1.30).

It will be quite the test. Pat Ring is managing the Dubs Stars with Pat Kane, Mark Kelly and Grainne Clare.

Dublin and Leinster champions, Foxrock Cabinteely, have six players named on the 25-player squad. All-Ireland Junior champs, St Maur's, and Dublin Intermediate winners, Clanna Gael Fontenoy, each have four players. In all, ten clubs are represented, including Ballyboden St Enda's, Thomas Davis and Castleknock. Emma McDonagh of the Fox Cabs will captain the side.

The action at DCU begins at 11.30 with the Dub Stars Junior game.

Admission is free. There will be a bucket collection for Aoibheann's Pink Tie, the charity partner of the Dublin LGFA.
