Aussies pick strong squad ahead of next month's International Rules clash with Ireland
AUSTRALIA'S International Rules squad for next month's game against Ireland in Croke Park includes 18 players have previously played International Rules.
Included among the Aussie ranks are Luke Hodge, the Hawthorn star who won the Jim Stynes medal (Player of Tournament) for his performance in Australia's defeat of Ireland in Perth last November.
Australian manager Alastair Clarkson has included Hawthorn's recently crowned grand final winning captain Robert Murphy and four of his team-mates.
Fourteen of the squad represented the Aussies in that one-off Test last year, which Australia won 56-46 at Patersons Stadium.
The Australians will travel to New York for a week-long training camp in the second week of November, where they will play a US representative GAA team, before arriving in Ireland the week before the game on November 21 at Croke Park.
