Armagh to take the title

ARMAGH v FERMANAGH

(Croke Park, Today, 7.0, Live TG4)

KIERAN McGEENEY, in a pretty transparent attempt to kill expectation, warned of the difficulties his team might encounter in the murky backwaters of Division 3 prior to the start of the League.

As it happened, they made pretty short work of it. The good news for them is that both Kevin Dyas and Stefan Campbell are back after injuries and both are in contention for today (neither listed to start).

For Fermanagh, it's less clear.

Full-forward Seán Quigley, arguably their best players through the seven matches of their League thus far, suffered a head injury in club action last weekend and has been selected to start though some doubt still remains.

All things being equal, Armagh were marginally the more impressive on their way back to Division 2 but given both teams were safely up with a game to spare and then sent out weakened teams in their last match, it's not safe to assume what motivation either will bring with them to Croke Park.

ODDS: Armagh 2/5, Draw 15/2, Fermanagh 11/4 VERDICT: Armagh
