Future Dubs show skills in Croke Park

EIGHT Dublin clubs took part in the 'Camán To Croker' Day.

They were St Finian's (S), Commercials, Fingallians, Thomas Davis, Naomh Mearnóg, Trinity Gaels, Ballyboden St Enda's and Kilmacud Crokes.

They all had a ball. Caroline Murray and her team ran a fun show.

The Camogie President, Aileen Lawlor, the former Crumlin and Dublin, player, was chuffed.

"It's wonderful for young players to get the chance to experience the thrill of playing in such an iconic stadium," she said.

Sixty four clubs from all over the country were in action in the Under-12 spectacle.

The day was run in association with Torpey Hurleys. "We were delighted to be involved. It's very pleasing to see young players have a truly rewarding experience," stated Seán Torpey.

It was the third year of the project. And this year it formed part of the association's 110th birthday celebrations.

Judging by the talent on show, many of those sampling the famous turf for the first time will be back there playing for the Dubs.
