Five-star Coláiste Eanna cruise into All-Ireland final
LEINSTER Senior Boys Cup winners Coláiste Eanna CBS produced a five-star showing to cruise into their first All-Ireland final.
The Rathfarnham school went into Monday's national final-four clash against Munster champions Presentation Brothers College, Cork on the back of a sensational provincial final win of their own.
Despite falling behind no less than three times to De La Salle College, Dundalk in the Leinster final a fortnight ago, éanna rallied to come away with a superb 7-3 victory.
That same swashbuckling and free-scoring attitude was on show on an even bigger stage at Waterford's Regional Sports Centre earlier this week as Eanna blew their opponents away.
Leinster final hat-trick hero and former Dublin minor Gaelic footballer Warren Egan (inset) crossed for Aaron Kavanagh to head home the opener just 15 minutes in.
The same player made it 2-0 before the break and Egan calmly dispatched number three on 55 minutes after Rudi Kinsella played him through.
Egan collected his second goal of the game 10 minutes later as éanna showed no signs of letting up, before substitute Djamell Djedda followed up his provincial final cameo goal off the bench with the final goal here.
