Erin's Isle are well-oiled machine

MORE good news for the parish.

Gulf Oil are sponsoring the Erin's Isle junior footballers.

David Higgins is the new manager of Isles, who have made a bright start to the season, winning the Frank Dardis Perpetual Cup.

They beat St Brendan's in a close contest. Frank was a former chairman of St Brendan's.

Gulf Oil are based on McKee Avenue in Finglas, incorporating the Daybreak Convenience Store.

"Our business relies on local support, and we have a lot of Erin's Isle members supporting us.

"So it's only fitting that we should now step forward and get behind the Isles lads this year. I'd like to wish David Higgins and all the squad the very best of luck for the season ahead," says Alan Flynn of Gulf Oil.

Mel Farrell, Chairman of the club's Minor and Adult Players section, is chuffed with the development.

"People refer to the club as 'The Parish', and we are very grateful to a local business like Gulf Oil for their generosity," says Mel.
