Dubs seeking first away win

DUBLIN head to Laois on Sunday. Day five of the Tesco Homegrown NFL Division 1.

The Dubs will be favourites to bring home the cake. Laois are still searching for their opening point.

The Jackies will need the win if they are to edge a little closer to a knock-out place in the table.

Ahead of them in the queue are Monaghan, Mayo, Cork, Galway and Kerry.

Dublin's win came on the opening afternoon against Monaghan at DCU. It was a most competent performance.

Their last two trips out of town have proven challenging weather-wise.

Firstly, there was the fog in Galway. The Blues emerged with a draw.

Then last week, nobody was taking out the picnic basket in Killarney as the Kingdom prevailed.

Dublin also lost at home to Mayo. Cora Staunton is still topping the charts.

Sunday's fixture is a repeat of the Leinster final. Dublin won that in some style at O'Moore Park, Portlaoise.

Lindsay Peat and Lyndsey Davey scored two goals each. Sinead Aherne helped herself to eight points.

In the end, dazzling Dublin scored six goals.

This Sunday, three tea-time points would feel just as sweet.
