Dublin tip-toe through the Tyrone Tulips
ONCE the Dubs had found the key to the safe, they were off and sprinting in Parnell Park.
But it did take a little while to discover the combination, as the Blues boss, Gregory McGonigle, related.
"We found it hard enough to break Tyrone down at the start. We didn't expect them to get so many behind the ball, but maybe that's the way football has gone.
"It's a compliment to Dublin that teams feel they need to do that to try and get something from the game."
He was well pleased with Dublin's response.
"We decided to press right up on them. And against the wind, they struggled to get out and we managed to get in a few early turn-overs.
"We played a lot of decent football in the second half. The conditions were difficult. But, overall, it was a decent work-out, and it keeps us in the mix for a semi-final spot.
"We know that if we get a result in Cork in two weeks, we'll give ourselves a chance of getting into the top four."
