Diver runner-up in Melbourne
Sinead Diver, an Irish-born athlete based in Australia, ran 2:34.15 secs to finish second in the Melbourne Marathon.
Her time puts her third on this year's marathon rankings behind Fionnuala Britton and Nicola Duncan - assuming she declares for Ireland.
In Chicago, Tom Frazer, recorded a time of 2:19.53.
Cross-country in Park
Cross-country runners get an early test of their fitness at Sunday's Autumn Open 5km/8km Cross-Country - formerly the Gerry Farnan and Sheila Brennan Cross-Country - which takes place at the Magazine Hill in Dublin's Phoenix Park.
In last year's races, Fionnuala Britton beat Sara Treacy in the women's 5km, while Michael Mulhare got the better of David McCarthy in the men's 8km.
The race is also a trial for next month's British and Irish Masters International.
Maria on top in Armagh
Maria McCambridge of DSD rounded off her preparations for the SSE Airtricity Dublin Marathon with a fine run at the Adidas Armagh 10-Mile.
Her time of 55.16 saw her finish fourth behind overall winner Paul Barbour of Omagh.
McCambridge is going for a third consecutive Dublin win.
Minnock wins Donadea
At the Donadea 10km, hill runners were out in force with Barry Minnock of Rathfarnham the overall winner, and Sarah Mulligan of DSD clocking a very respectable time of 34.43 to finish first woman on the undulating trail course.
Raheny 2-milers return
Raheny Shamrock's Fit for Life 2-mile series returns tonight.
All races start at 8pm, with plaques for those who complete the five races. Entry fee is €7 per race or €30 for the series.
