Daly sweating on duo

DUBLIN will continue to monitor the fitness of both Liam Rushe and David Treacy ahead of the start of their Allianz Hurling League Division 1 campaign as Anthony Daly faces into a familiar tale of injury woe, writes Conor McKeon.

Already down cruciate trio, Tomás Brady, Conal Keaney and Stephen Hiney - none of whom, according to management, will play any part in the league - Dublin also have concerns over two of their most talented young hurlers.

Treacy has been battling to regain full fitness from the nightmare run of hamstring injuries which have afflicted his fledgling career while 2011 Young Player of the Year, Liam Rushe, has yet to hurl since damaging his hand during St Pat's (Palmerstown) Dublin SHC 'B' final defeat to Nh Fionnbarra at the end of last October.
