Croke Park to stage a Night with the Stars

THE maestro of the mike, Micheál Ó Muircheartaigh, will be top-of-the-bill at Croke Park on Friday week, March 27th.

Cuala are staging a Blacktie event with Respect, the charity that helps those with an intellectual disability.

The event will throw-in with a drinks reception at 7.pm, followed by dinner and top-class entertainment and dancing.

"This is a special evening to raise awareness and funds for the research into how technology can enable assisted living for those with a disability," explains Cuala chairman, Declan Murray.

"We will also be raising money to help Cuala to press ahead with plans for new playing facilities to cater for the club membership of almost 2,000 players."

KEVINS' EASTER PARADE

THE annual Kevins Easter Hurling/Camogie Tournament takes place on Good Friday and Easter Saturday.

In hurling, the grades are U8, U10, U11, U12, U14, U16 and Minor. Camogie is U8.

AND THERE OFF.......

CASTLEKNOCK'S Annual Race Night takes place on Friday, March 27th at Kavanagh's of Laurel Lodge.

"It's always a great social night and it's a chance to put a few bob in the pocket post Cheltenham," states Finbar Brady.

You can buy a horse for €20 in advance of the event. Race winners get 50 Euro.

There will also be tote betting and a raffle with top prizes.

IF THE CAP FITS

THE Friends of Dublin Hurling will be selling baseball caps (5 Euro) and T-Shirts (5 Euro) at the Galway game Parnell Park on Sunday. And they will be taking orders for fleece jackets (€50).

You can also sign up to join the FODH. All members are asked to renew membership by the end of March.
