Clann Mhuire's Rowe ready to light up Parnell Park
TOMORROW night, Parnell Park stages the Dublin Junior 'A' Championship final. Onto the blue carpet will walk Clann Mhuire and St Maur's.
Both clubs are sure to bring big followings to Donnycarney. Football is at the heart of life in the North County.
It will be a privilege to watch young Carla Rowe in action for Clann Mhuire. She is an exceptional forward.
She started, and scored, in the three games that brought Dublin to Leinster Championship success this season.
And she also made a generous contribution to Dublin's Aisling McGing All-Ireland U21 Championship triumph, scoring 1-3 in the final against Meath. Clann Mhuire have another gifted county footballer in Aisling Barrett, while St Maur's have the quick-silver feet of Olivia Leonard.
The Rush side won five from five in the group, beating Skerries Harps, Raheny, Castleknock, Portobello and tomorrow's opponents. They defeated Lucan Sarsfields in the semi-final.
The Mhuire had wins against Raheny, Portobello, Skerries Harps and Castleknock before overcoming Man O War in the semi-final.
Maur's had four points to spare over the Mhuire in their group clash. Most are saying it could be tighter this time.
