Castle walls hold strong in thrilling tussle

TEARS on the final bell.

In time, they will turn to tears of joy.

Fingallians had left every last drop out on the stage.

Over came the Castleknock mentor, Brendan Griffin, to tell them so.

"Reaching a county Feile final is a great achievement. You should be proud of yourselves. Hold your heads up high," he said.

And so they should. They contributed so much to a game that rocked the Blakestown Road.

Catleknock held the interval lead, 1-2 to a goal.

Castleknock's goal came from Sophia Ostapiv.

Hitting the sack for the Fins was Emma McCormack.

The Swords side produced a marvellous second half. They carved out many attacks.

The Castle wall had to be strong. And it was.

Castleknock had pace up-front.

In the end, it was Castleknock's crown 1-3 to 1-1. Their points came from Catlin Coffey, Eimear Griffin and Siobhan Roche.

Hannah Howard pointed for the fantastic Fins.
