Brigid's to find way past tricky Jude's assignment

DUBLIN SFC QUARTER-FINAL

ST JUDE'S v ST BRIGID'S

(O'Toole Park, Tomorrow, 2.30)

SKERRIES brought Brigid's to extra-time in Coolock. It was almost the shock of the season, writes Niall Scully.

It was one of the games of the championship. It was only a beautiful injury-time point from Philly Ryan that saved Brigid's.

Manager, Tony McEntee, will call for improvement here. He'll get it.

Jude's will present a challenge. This stage of the championship holds no fear for them.

They have had generous victories over Naomh Mearnóg and Whitehall. Brigid's knocked out Clontarf.

Kevin McManamon keeps on avoiding the clampers, while Mark Sweeney can also make a worthy donation.Paul Cunningham, Tom McKeown and Declan Donnelly bring much to the debate, and Brendan McManamon is still teaching the younger brother a trick or three.

Russell Park doesn't lack quality. John O'Loughlin, Emylyn Mulligan, Paddy Andrews and Kevin Bonner will keep busy and should just shade this one.

VERDICT: St Brigid's
