DENIS BASTICK is Jim Gavin's primary injury concern ahead of his team announcement tonight.

The Templeogue/Synge St midfielder injured an ankle during his club's recent Dublin SFC defeat to Round Tower, Clondalkin and while Gavin recently claimed that Bastick was clear to return to training, he may now miss out against Kildare on Sunday.

If Bastick is ruled out, it paves the way for Michael Darragh Macauley's return to the team.

Cian O'Sullivan is also fit and may come into the midfield equation, although the Kilmacud Crokes man could come into contention at centre-back, where John Small made his debut against Longford.

Both James McCarthy and Rory O'Carroll - who missed that quarter-final with injury - are also both available.

Jason Ryan, meanwhile, has worries of his own.

Centre-back Fergal Conway suffered a head injury in Kildare's replay victory over Laois and is considered extremely doubtful.
