Man of the Match was Jacques McMahon. Unlucky U12 beaten by Naomh Fionnbarra - Man of the Match was Leo Blarney in goals. There was no Lotto winner this week. The numbers were 8-9-22-25 and the Jackpot now stands at €8,900. Thanks to all the stone pickers who did great work on a cold evening, helping to get the new pitch in shape. CLANNA GAEL FONTENOY
OUR U14 hurlers did themselves and the club proud in the Feile over the weekend, where the Division Four grouping was hosted in Sean Moore Park. They won all three of their group games with comprehensive wins over Parnell's and Naomh Fionnbarra and a narrower one-goal victory over Rialto Gaels. Though all games were played in very difficult wet conditions, play at all times exemplified the good spirit and purpose of this Tournament. In topping their group, our lads retained home advantage for their semi-final game against Naomh Olaf. They dominated much of that game, especially when they would have been least expected to, playing against a strong wind in the second half. They built up a deserved 1-2 lead, only to see the Olaf's centre back single-handedly rescue his team with two excellent solo runs and goals to claim a two-point win in the end. Well done to the players and team mentors on a great Tournament. And great credit is due to the wider group of volunteers, who worked tirelessly to make our hosting the event such a success. Congratulations to Clanns player, Maria O'Dea, and the Dublin U16s on their win over Westmeath in the Leinster Championship. Maria was on the scoresheet and helped the Dubs secure a place in the Leinster Final against Meath.
TEAM of the Week goes to our U12B footballers for a great league win over Trinity Gaels. Losing by 7 points at the break, they stormed back to win by 4, with Man of the Match going to the superb Conor McGarry. Well done to both our Hurling Feile teams, who played in terrible weather conditions, in both Castleknock and St Pat's Palmerstown. Its Championship time again. Best wishes to senior footballers, who face Fingal Ravens on Friday the 8th in Balgriffin, throw-in 7pm. Our AFL9 footballers play Portobello on Sunday the 10th at pitch 34. Throw-in 11am. Our inter girls play Ballinteer on Wednesday the 13th at pitch 34. Throw-in 7.30pm. Please support all our Championship teams. There is a nutrition talk for our lady mentors this coming Tuesday the 5th at 9.15pm in the clubhouse. www.clontarfgaa.com.

TWO good wins for our U16 girls this week. They played St Peregrine's on Wednesday in Hyde Park and scored a massive 7-17 against a strong opposition, who scored 4-5. The girls were back in action on Sunday in Meadowvale against Na Fianna, who were level with them on league points. The Cuala team fought hard and despite being down at half-time, they finished victorious on a score line of 2-12 to 2-9. Girls and mentors would like to wish the injured Na Fianna girl a swift recovery. Hard luck to our Féile A hurlers, who lost to a strong St Brigid's side in the Division 3 final. They still go through to the regional finals in Ulster. The Feile B hurlers did very well too in atrocious conditions in Thomastown. Winning both their group games to top the group, they faced a strong Lucan side in the semi-final. Despite some Trojan work from 1 to 15, they couldn't catch Lucan, who had built up a strong first-half lead. All the lads played great hurling all weekend and did Cuala and their families proud. Congratulations to Jennifer Dunne and the Dublin U16 ladies footballers, who defeated Westmeath to qualify for the Leinster Final. Congratulations also to Rachel Hartnett, who came off the bench to score 0-3 for the Dublin U14 ladies footballers against Louth. Good luck to the adult footballers, who face into Championship next week. A quiet weekend on the playing pitches for our juveniles, as rain hampered proceedings but nevertheless we did have a couple of games with our U11 footballers playing a home match against Clann Mhuire. The two teams were well-matched and it turned into a great game of football. Both sides played very well on a wet morning with the Gaels coming out on top in the end. He was to- scorer on the day and worked tirelessly from first whistle until last. Hard luck to the Hurling Feile team, who lost out to a very strong Crumlin team in the semi-final. HARD luck to our Fèile team, who took part in the Dublin Fèile at the weekend. Our intermediate footballers lost by one point to Brigid's in the league. Our minor hurlers had a great win over St Oliver Plunkett's in the league, winning score 4-16 to 2-10. This was as great game of hurling. The Barrs were very quick out of the traps and scored some beautiful points in the opening minutes of the game. St Oliver Plunkett's fought their way back into the game, and cut the lead to two points but in the last ten minutes of the game our lads pulled away again and eventually won by 12 points. Credit must go to both teams for the standard of hurling served up in this game. It was a closely-contested game played in a sporting manner. Very enjoyable to watch. Well done to all concerned. WELL done our minor hurling team on their great league win over Round Tower Clondalkin. The lads played a blinder in this end-to-end game. There was also a good win for our minor girls during the week, when they went down the road to beat locals Parnell's. While our adult girls stayed at home in their outstanding game and positive result in a league game over Templeogue/Synge Street. The girls are on fire and ready to take on the world. Our U13 boys travelled well when they went to play Naomh Olaf in their mid-week match. Our lads played great and deserved their victory. A home win was the fantastic result for our U14 hurlers when they played against Fingallians last Thursday evening in the league. Winning wasn't on the cards this year for our U14 hurlers in the Féile, but we'd like to say a very big well done lads.
