HOPE you all had a very Happy Easter. Not much happened on the field of play last weekend, but this week's Hero of the Week comes from the admin side of the club, and the man that you must speak to very soon. Frank O'Connell is in charge of club membership and registration of players, and this enormous task gets him the much-coveted status of "Hero of the Week". Take a bow Frank, well deserved. You must see Frank to pay you membership before April 18th if you wish to be eligible to apply for tickets for Dublin's upcoming Championship season. Non-members are not entitled to apply for tickets. In doing so, you will become part of and a supporter of our great club, and rightly be able to call yourself one of our own. So get to it, and don't be left disappointed. Congratulations to the Dublin senior team and their win, which ensured progression to the league semi-final next week. Congrats all, especially our sizable Ballymun contingent. For more information on this, or for upcoming games news and gossip, please visit our new website http://www.ballymunkickhams.com, where you can also link into our Facebook and Twitter feeds.

THE club's Easter Camp for Kids has been a great success again this year with youngsters turning up in very large numbers to benefit from learning improved football and hurling skills as well as enjoying plenty of fun and games. This is being followed this week by the Emerging Talent Camp for the 12-15 age group, which runs from Tuesday 7th-Thursday 9th from 10am-1pm. The focus here will be on improving skills with input from a number of Dublin county players - really good value at just €40 per person. A number of places are still available and registration is still possible with the Club's Games Development Officer, Claire Ryan, at firstname.lastname@example.org. The next big off-the-field of play event in the club's calendar will be the Table Quiz on Thursday 16th April at 8pm, which is being organised to raise funds in support of the U14 squad, which will participate in this year's Féile competition. A once in a lifetime opportunity, the Féile offers a great competitive challenge in the best of spirit for our young players, but it also gives rise to additional costs for kit and other items. Following on the success of last year's U14s in winning their Divisional Féile, this year's squad will want to not just look good but play well at the highest level in Division 1. The cost is just €40 per team and tables can be booked by members and non-members alike through email@example.com.

OUR minor hurlers were the only team in action this weekend. They took part in a Tournament organised by St Kevin's hurling club. They got off to a slow start, losing to Lucan by two points in their first game. They then had a good win over Setanta and drew with St Jude's in their third game and qualified for the semi-final on scoring aggregate. Our semi- final opponents were St Oliver Plunkett's and we played really well and won the game by 4 points. We went on to meet Lucan in the final and this was a really hard-fought game with both sides on level terms when the game ended. The lead changed hands a number of times during extra-time, but when the final whistle blew we were a point ahead. It was a great game and both teams gave their all. Well done to our lads. It was great to see them pick up a trophy at last. They really deserved it. Well done to all concerned. We would like to thank St Kevin's for their hospitality and to the Scott family, who presented the Cup in memory of their son. We would like to thank all those who supported our Easter Raffle. Roisin demonstrated great strength, determination and skill in all matches and the club are very proud of her commitment to her club and county. It was a well-deserved win for these young ladies, who were 8 points down at half-time. Girl of the match for O'Toole's was the resilient Emma Lawlor. Our girls, like all our other teams, train hard and play to win every time they step onto the pitch. Well done to the organisers of our Annual Easter Egg Hunt for our little Larriers on Saturday morning. With lots of happy smiling little chocolate covered faces, it was obviously a great success.
