THANK you to Skerries Harps and Round Towers Lusk, who took part in a Blitz v our U8s on Saturday. By all accounts, it was a great day's football. Well done to our U11 boys on beating Liffey Gaels. Hard luck to our U14 and U16 girls, who had to travel to a very wet and windy Foxrock/Cabinteely on Sunday afternoon. Well done to all involved with our St Peter's minor team, who travelled to Thomas Davis, playing a league match and coming away with a win. Our first team won away in the Cup vs St Sylvester's by 4 points and our second team lost by 4 points away v Wild Geese, also in the Cup. No fixtures over the Bank Holiday weekend. Last week's Lotto results. Numbers drawn: 4-28-31. No winner. Next week's Jackpot €2,870. BALLYMUN KICKHAMS

OUR Heroes of the Week this week are Gerry Staunton and Susan Nolan, who are spearheading our new LGFA initiative on Wednesday evenings. Take a bow Gerry and Susan, pioneers in 'Gaelic4Girls' and this week's Heroes of the Week. Our U11s played in Johnstown Park last weekend after a long absence by the club, and the old turf saw our lads win both games against Scoil Ui Chonaill with large margins to spare. Our U12s have been flying of late, winning all 5 of their grading games, and capping it off with a win over Plunkett's on Saturday morning. A huge well done to you all lads. Our U14s have a training time change. They now train Monday and Wednesday at 6pm in Albert College. Our U16s had a great win over Ratoath on Monday, coming from 10 down with Sergei Runin and Cameron McCormack to the fore. Next game is Good Friday, when they play the Dublin U15 Development Squad at 6pm in Pairc Ciceam. Our minors defeated Kilmacud on Sunday with some great forward play by Paddy Small, Glenn Doyle, Anton Swan and Dillon Keating. Colm Hulton deserves special praise after his great game, which followed a schools semi-final the day before. Good luck to him in the Schools Final in Croke Park on Saturday week. Gym for the minors is on Wednesday night at 7pm in Pairc Ciceam. Our new website launched this week, and its great new look and ease of use makes it one of the best in GAA circles. Log onto http://www.ballymunkickhams.com for a look, and you can find out about our Gaelic4Girls initiative, our monthly draws and our Easter Camp, which is on Tuesday-Thursday this coming week. You'll also find links to our Facebook and Twitter feeds.

BEANN EADAIR

THANKS to all that attended the AGM on Wednesday last. A special presentation was made to John Fitzpatrick, who stood down from the executive committee this year after over 30 years of involvement at the club. Best wishes to the new committee team for 2015/16 and in particular to new secretary Donnacha McCarrick and new committee member Brian Heerey. Much thanks is due to all that assisted to prepare for the AGM. We done to our U10 footballers on a good performance at home against Erin's Isle, with particularly excellent play from Sean Commerford and Fiachra Farrelly, who both demonstrated great skills on the day. There was no Lotto winner this week. The Jackpot is now at €8,050. The Easter Camp (8th, 9th, and 10th of April) is now full. There are no scheduled fixtures this weekend coming. Your mentors will communicate Easter training arrangements directly to teams.

CIVIL SERVICE

THERE were mixed fortunes for our two teams in Round 2 of the AHL campaign on Sunday. A windy Islandbridge made for difficult conditions for our AHL6 clash with our neighbours Liffey Gaels. The visitors, playing with the wind, scored 1-4 in the opening 10 minutes. However, we tightened up on their runners, got back to our own game plan and the scores were level by half-time. In the second half, we gradually pulled ahead but nothing came easy as Liffey Gaels contested everything. A late goal left only a point between us with 5 minutes remaining, but a couple of well-taken frees secured Service victory by 3-13 to 3-10. An even windier and wetter pitch number 7 in St Anne's park was the scene for our second team playing O'Toole's in AHL9 in the afternoon. Despite going behind from an early goal, we led by 1-5 to 1-2 at half-time with wind-assistance. Through solid defending from repeated attacks and an early goal from a 21 yard free, we held the lead through the second half until 10 minutes from the end. But a late goal and a couple of converted frees by O'Toole's meant we lost in the end by 2-10 to 2-8. Overall, good performances from both teams on the day, some lessons learned but plenty of reason to be optimistic. Training in the gym finishes Monday 30th, so with the brighter evenings training will be on the pitch on Monday and Wednesday at 7pm sharp. Any members who have yet to pay their annual subscription should do so straight away.

CLANN MHUIRE

IT was a mixed weekend on the playing field this weekend. U8s hosted a Blitz on Saturday in Naul with over 60 children taking part. A big thanks to Richie, Enda, Peter and Kevin, who organised the Blitz. U10 girls and boys were both beaten, but showed great skills and enthusiasm in very tricky conditions. U11s had a great win over St Monica's. It was a great team performance. Special mention to Peter Durnin and Sean Michael Kennedy, who had a great game in defence and Niall Kennedy, who played super in goals. There was also some superb scores from Ben Rogers, Finn Harmon and Dara Allen. Ladies start their season on Wednesday night with a Cup match against Clontarf on Wednesday night in Clontarf at 7.30pm. 1st team play St Vincent's in Cup on Thursday night at 7.30pm in Pairc Naomh Uinsionn. Please show your support for both teams. Annual Lotto tickets are now due for renewal. Please contact any committee member to purchase or renew your ticket. Remember to check clannmhuire.ie and The Evening Herald for fixtures for the week ahead.

CLANNA GAEL FONTENOY

THE club's teams saw plenty of action over the last week and some fine results were recorded. To start with, our Intermediate hurlers had a fine win at home in the league against Lucan Sarsfields. This win will further bolster all the good work that's been going into coaching and training. In similar vein, our U15 hurlers also had an impressive win against a visiting Na Fianna side. That's two wins out of three in the league to date for them. The U16 Uí Chonaill/Fontenoy hurlers (the combined team of Clanna Gael Fontenoy and Scoil Uí Chonaill) did not enjoy the same success, however, when they came up against a very strong Ballyboden St Enda's in their Division 1 clash. It may be a steep learning curve for the lads at this level - but a valuable one also. On the footballing front, one of the stand-out wins was that recorded by our U12s, who had the narrowest of wins in a close-fought game against Cuala. Off the field of play, the finishing touches are being put to preparations for two major camps, which the club will be running over the Easter period. The Easter Camp for Kids will run from Monday 30th March-Thursday 2nd April from 10am-2.30pm. It will include football and hurling skills, obstacle courses and fun games - all for €50 per child with a €10 discount for siblings. For the older 12-15 age group, there will be the Emerging Talent Camp which will run from Tuesday 7th-Thursday 9th April from 10am-1pm. The focus here will be on improving skills with input from a number of Dublin county players - really good value at just €40 per person. Registration and further information is through the Club's Games Development Officer, Claire Ryan, at claireryan.gpo@gmail.com.

CLONTARF

TEAM of the Week are our minor A footballers, defeating Na Fianna in league Division 1. Thanks to a well-taken 1st half Bill Perryman goal, a wonderful save from Neil O'Hanlon and vital points from Barry Davis, Nathan Doran, Cian Walsh and Rory Clarke. Minor ladies put in a storming 2nd half to defeat Ballymun. U16 girls defeated Parnell's in Division 1. In what was a great overall team performance, a special mention to our full-back line of Orla O'Callaghan, Aoibhinn McGoldrick and Hannah Fitzpatrick. Ciara Dunlea was exceptional at half-back and Aoibhe Bell provided a fantastic display of score-taking. U11 footballers continue to perform brilliantly, registering 5 wins from 6 at the weekend against opposition from Naomh Olaf and Na Fianna. U12 girls' footballers defeated Na Fianna in 3 matches with excellent performances. www.clontarfgaa.com.

The U11 boys travelled to Baldoyle on Saturday morning to face Beann Eadair and gave a great performance, which their mentors were very proud of. Gaelic for Mothers & Others played Fingallians today under every possible weather condition. Final score 4-3 to Fingallians, 3-3 to St Maur's. Our adult hurlers lost out to Cuala away with score of 1-13 to 1-8. Maur's lost out at home to O'Dwyers in Conlon Cup, 0-3 to 1-8. The minor footballers lost out away to Naomh Mearnog, 1-8 to 1-5. U16 hurlers played at home with a score of Maur's 3-7, Craobh Chiarain 2-7. U13 girls' footballers were at home to Skerries. NAOMH MEARNOG

WE had another absolutely superb weekend on the playing pitches. Our senior hurlers began their league campaign with an impressive win over Kilmacud. Our juniors travelled to Lucan and made it 2 wins on the trot. Our juveniles were in great form also with victories recorded by our U14, 15 and 16 hurlers. Our ladies kept the flag flying high as well with wins for our U10, 11 and 12 camogie girls. Our very consistent U15 ladies football team made it 5 league wins in-a-row. Well done to all mentors and teams. Your hard work is paying dividends. Thank you to all who supported the Adult Games Fundraising Quiz on Saturday night. It was a great success. A special word of thanks to Kate Moran, Richie Fitzmaurice, Ciaran O'Callaghan, Peter O'Donovan, Ciaran Waters and John Owens, who helped organise the event. Our very popular Easter Camp begins next week. Contact Paddy Gorey for details. Once again we remind all players, that you can no longer play for your team unless your membership fees are paid. We extend our sympathy to the Gibbons family of the death of Paddy's sister Mary. May her Soul Rest In Peace.

NAOMH OLAF

SENIOR hurlers lost out to Setanta, Ballymun in difficult conditions on Sunday. Final result: Naomh Olaf 2-13, Setanta 4-12. Senior Football: Home game v Naomh Fionnbarra on Sunday was postponed as pitch was deemed unplayable. In round 4 of the Division 2 Minor League, Naomh Olaf faced league leaders Oliver Plunkett's in Pairc Ui Bhriain on a windy Sunday morning. In a well-contested match, it proved to be a very exciting encounter with the Olaf's lads eventually losing by only one point. It was a superb team performance; a great defence was shown by all the backs, in particular by Luke Doran who gave a man of the match performance. Sean McDaid and Aaron Walsh held their own at midfield and provided a great supply of ball into the forwards. Tom Keane excelled with a personal tally of 1-5, and was ably assisted by Eoin Foley (2 points) and points each from Sean McDaid, Aaron Walsh and Rory Gallagher. This was a great team performance and the lads were very unlucky to be defeated by a point in the end. Final score: Olaf's 1-10, Oliver Plunkett's 2-8. Our other minor team also played on Sunday morning, this time away to Whitehall Colmcilles in the Division 5 League. Despite being down 5 points at half-time, they came back with a superb second-half performance to win the match by 10 points. The defence all played really well and restricted the opposition in their attacks. Olaf's dominated the midfield, with Cian Power-Kelly and Jack Byrne distributing the ball well into the forwards, namely Sean Sutton, Dara Bonnar, Darragh Sullivan, Jordan O'Connor and Jamie Roche. Every member of the team contributed to a great win. Final score: Olaf's 7-6, Whitehall Colmcilles 3-8. Reminder - Race Night in the club on Friday 24th April at 8.30pm.

O'TOOLE'S

THE extreme weather and high winds didn't stop our teams competing and winning over the weekend. Well done to our AHL9 team, having a well-earned two point home win over Civil Service on Sunday. Continuing their winning ways were our U13 girls. They were outstanding in their performance and victory over St Finian's on Saturday. Also flying the flag and proving what a great club this is, were our U14 hurlers when they took on and trounced the mighty Kilmacud Crokes. Another team to take on Crokes and draw with them on Sunday were our senior hurlers. This was a scintillating game to watch and our lads were unlucky not to clinch the win in the dying seconds. Our plucky U9s played two brilliant matches on Saturday against Clontarf. With Adam, Brian, Fionn & Mikey leading the way, the Tarfs had no hope. The future is bright for them and all our juvenile teams. There will be no training this week for our U10s due to holidays. Again, I stress that registrations are now overdue. Any player not registered cannot train or play for the club. Why not come along this Saturday night in our friendly lounge to enjoy the music of 'Run For Cover'. There was no winner of our Weekly Club Lotto. The numbers drawn were 3-4-7-17. This week the Jackpot will be €2,300. Result for Division 9 Hurling: O'Toole's 2-10, Civil Service 2-8.
