Ryanair must now play fair

THE European court decision in favour of a Dublin woman against Ryanair is welcome. It is now clear that airline passengers are entitled to claim for hotel and meal costs if their flights are cancelled, even in exceptional circumstances such as the 2010 Icelandic volcano.

The move is a welcome one for consumers, despite a mean-spirited reaction from Ryanair, warning of the likelihood of increased fares.

If ever a band has been well served by the literary world it's The Beatles. Practically every aspect of that revolutionary body of work has been dealt with in book form... or so one would have thought. Well, think again.
