New balls please, as elegant Yvonne runs Ronan ragged on the court...
Two years after their very public break-up, Ronan and Yvonne Keating seem to be involved in a bit of a love-off.
A couple of weeks ago, it seemed like it might turn sour. After Ronan had talked about how much he enjoyed his children hanging out with his new girlfriend Storm, Yvonne replied: "(He) makes it sound all so easy. It's not."
This week, however, they seem to be happy to such an extent that, in two recent interviews, the former couple seem to be trying to out-do each other.
Last Sunday, it was Ronan's turn to speak and, not for the first time, he gushed about his relationship with Storm Uechtritz, declaring emphatically: "She makes me happier than I've ever been."
Revealing that at the time he met Storm, he was "in a very dark and lonely place" he was asked to compare this state with his marriage to Yvonne.
Ronan insisted: "I'm not going to compare it. It is what it is... I'm not going to say that one thing is better than the other."
Though, of course, in revealing that he is happier than he's ever been, he has essentially done so already.
A few days later, it was Yvonne's turn to reveal her newly-blissful state.
Favouring a more economical style than Ronan's, Yvonne didn't mention her former husband by name, but pointedly stated: "I feel like I'm in the best place I've ever been."
In all this lobbing of exchanges backwards and forwards, the couple seem to be indulging in a bit of relationship tennis, with each reply upping the ante for the next person.
But while Ronan is scurrying around, grunting, tweeting and posing for photos at every turn, it is Yvonne who is displaying a touch of elegance, and winning most games to love. Ronan to serve...
