Fargo is fab, here's hoping the TV series is too

ONE of my favourite films of all time is being made into a TV drama. Yippity dippity do. Fargo, the incredible Coen brothers' movie, is about to go into production, starring Billy Bob Thornton. I don't know if it will be as good as the movie and no-one will be able to replace the amazing Frances McDormand, but I'm looking forward to what they can do with this story.

 

WHO KNEW? CAPALDI ROCKS AS THE NEW DR

PETER Capaldi is the new Dr Who? What an unusual and interesting choice. I know the actor from the brilliant The Thick Of It, a drama in which he is a foul- mouthed spin doctor, who spews vitriol at every possible moment. It's going to be hard now to watch him as the clean living Time Lord. But the Scottish accent will be great.

 

WHITEFRIAR'S BREKKIE REALLY TOPS THEM ALL

I HAD the best brekkie on Sunday. I love finding new places and the Whitefriar Grill on Aungier St, Dublin, was fantastic. Plus they had a trendy DJ in the corner knocking out some smooth tunes (get me!). Give this place a go, it's terrific.
