Check if your purchase will arrive assembled ... or if the job's up to you

babies

A reader who spent a lot of money on a top end cot in an 'upmarket' baby shop was horrified to see it arrive in a flat pack for self-assembly. He had assumed it would come as seen on the shop floor. On complaining, the shop said it never promised the cot would be assembled and hinted that he should be happy with the reduced 'sale' price. It is the shop's duty to tell the customer about the difference between 'seen' and 'delivered' items but its website has since been updated to reflect the flat pack delivery. Coincidence, I'm sure.
