A unique gathering of former hosts
Congratulations to Pamela Flood and Ronan Ryan who have tied the knot in a low-key ceremony in Dublin city centre.
When I say low-key, however, it certainly sounds like a far from shabby affair, held as it was in the beautiful Georgian venue, No.10 Ormond Quay, and with an enviable guest list.
While all the press coverage was concentrated on Glenda Gilson's wedding in Co Clare, which took place the previous day, the former Miss Ireland, probably best known as one of the presenters of RTE's Off The Rails, had decided to eschew any publicity.
When asked about her wedding plans three months ago, Pamela declared: "It will probably be the smallest wedding ever, with only 50 guests. Just family and close friends."
And who were those close friends? Well, there was Gerry Ryan's former wife Morah to begin with, along with Pamela's former Off The Rails co-presenter, Caroline Morahan.
Also present was former Xposé star Lorraine Keane, former TV3 news anchor Grainne Seoige, and her sister, former RTE daytime presenter Sile.
I'd say there was a lot of catching up to do between those ladies, with many questions to be asked.
The first of which was probably the following.
Is there anyone here who doesn't have the word "former" in front of their name?
